Evanescence Saga !

Please do not mind the CAPSSSS or BOLD letters haha! Sooooo Evanescence...uh, yeah :) My first full novel/book/insertanotherappriatewordthatgoesalongwiththeprevioustwo. First things first! Book Cover!

WHAM BAM THANK YOU MA'AM! Not exactly the best looking cover, but I tried my best and threw like overlapped a thousand filters, contrasts, rotation, skewing, cutting, blah, blah, BLAH. That whole shingdig (if that's how it's spelled). Now this isn't exactly the FINAL cover. I'm still deciding to change it to something BETTER and more PRESENTABLY RELEVANT. I'm also in a debate to publish it as a FREE book, then to charge 1.99 or 2.99 for the two books that follow after in its series (disregard the missing dollar sign that button on this laptop is.....missing hehe). I'm looking for traditional publishing for this, but when I say it has come a long way I mean it!

So, what is this book about?

A vampire duh! Talk about cliche for a young writer...but seriously, I couldn't help it and have a GREAT REASON for writing it which I'll explain shortly. This is not your average vampire story neither so I took a twist. I created a young adolescent, Evan Mercil, in which he finds out that he was adopted and his whole life has been a lie. He is a vampire by nature, but HAS NO IDEA himself. He is of course what we would call,  "a late bloomer." Everything about him is human..well, at least until now.

So throughout this novel (and I'm speaking in this language as though you are in front of me because I don't want to just copy and paste my actual query but anywaysssss) throughout this novel, he is trying to understand himself and becomes afraid when his body begins to turn pale. His heart stops beating. His fangs begin to teethe and develop. His hunger begins to crave for blood. And memories of the life he has lived thus far, begins to fade away. In hopes of finding who he is and where he comes from, in the small town of Utica, NY, he runs into a family that has the answers to his questions of his identity.

Now prepared for the worst and after being told his transformation will complete after death, (and who wants to be told they WILL die soon and there's NOTHING you can do about it but anyways) his depression turns into anger which allows him to temporarily TAP into his vampire nature. Unpredictable bursts of strength, speed, and agility are just a start. But love? The girl he has been in school with for so long, Essence LaRoux, has come to understand him and ACCEPT him for who he will become...but, his family, his real family, still holds one secret away from him, that will determine the fate of this new found love life and destiny..not to mention, it doesn't help when one of your own blood is desperately trying to kill you along the way.

SORRY FOR THIS HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BRIEFING! I suck at summaries -___- I think my summaries MURDER my actual plots, but I can assure you, you will LOVE IT! So, what was this great reason for writing this book?


Believe it or not, the inspiration to "Evanescence" came about through a dream that was completely unrelated to vampires BUT I have always been interested in romance and into the whole vampire thing, so least to say I added the vampire nature of the book since it fits my dream so that would mean, YES, "Twilight" is one of my favorites, but was NOT THE REASON FOR THIS CREATION.

The intent came from my passion and love for writing, vampires, romance, and a story that is filled with thrills and surprises with characters that an audience can grow and come to love.

This saga is in no way the same storyline and DOES NOT follow any pieces from Twilight. There may be a few aspects of this saga, such as romance and the vampire genre of the novel that may give the Twilight audience flashbacks; however, the characters, plot, and theme are completely of original descent and have a VERY DIFFERENT story. SO THIS IS NO BELLA AND EDWARD THEMED PLOT...NOR IS THERE A JACOB *does my wolf call*

Least to say, the effect that it can have on the "Twilight" audience, will be a reminder of such a great work of art that Stephenie Meyer created.
 
As you will read, much of Evan's personality, interactions, thoughts, feelings, etc all serve a major purpose and will soon uncover the reason of why he acts the way that he does and thinks the way he thinks. His emotions, experiences of confusion, and feeling lost, will give readers another outlook of how it feels to not know who you are or where you came from and constantly having to search for clues yourself.

This is my first novel. My first chance to write about vampires. My first aim to incorporate romance in a genre that seems to have no room for it.

If you love a passionate, romantic yet thrilling story, this saga will capture your heart. As you read book one of three, I hope that you will enjoy and come to love Evan, but also understand him for who he THOUGHT he was--a human.
